Because the quartz sand particles in the three-layer filter media filter bed are smaller than those in the two-layer filter media, and there is a layer of finer, heavy anthracite filter media below the quartz sand layer, under the same conditions, or even at a higher filtration rate, the water quality of the filtered water from the three-layer filter pool is better than that of the two-layer filter pool. When using quartz sand, try to use it in combination. The vast majority of wastewater treatment plants in China implement the Class B standard of the "Discharge Standard for Pollutants from Urban Wastewater Treatment Plants", while implementing the Class A standard can significantly "remove phosphorus and nitrogen" from wastewater, reducing pollution to the receiving water body, and the effluent can be used as reclaimed water.
